A vacancy has arisen for a Regional Operations Manager and H&S Support working as a part of the UK Operations team with responsibility within Hargreaves Industrial Services ‘Site Support Services’ contracts.

Typically, these contracts can include services such as; Mobile electrical and mechanical maintenance (planned and re-active), statutory inspections, Remedial works, buildings maintenance, grounds maintenance, cleaning, waste management, minor civils projects.

The role will be required to cover the Operational management at various locations in and around the Central/south regions of the United Kingdom, a flexible approach to work and travelling, overnight stays will be required.

The role briefly encompasses the following: -

  • Assume responsibility for the Day-to-day Operational management and general Health and Safety management of the Site support services contract.
  • Supporting H&S requirements for all aspects of the site services contract to ensure full compliance.
  • Liaise with our client and the HIS/Sub-contract working teams, ensuring H&S and operational requirements and procedures are fully adhered too.
  • Develop/review/approve H&S documentation.
  • Carry out site H&S audits/inspections.
  • Support the Operational requirements when required and have a good understanding of the day-to-day operations (Primarily the Central/southern area however will cover other sites nationwide when required).

  • Support the administration requirements for the site services team.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems (Pirana).

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: -

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a operational supervisory role.
  • Practical attitude towards Health and Safety.
  • Positive and Pro-active approach towards Health and Safety.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of H&S and Quality standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
  • IT skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Good Operational awareness.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Self-driven.
  • Strong team ethic.
  • Good analytical ability.
  • Personable telephone manner.
  • Honesty and Discretion.
