HIS3444 Site Supervisor

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of site activities associated with the construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the Foul Treatment Plant (FTP) and Potable Water Plant (PWP) at Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station.

The role ensures that all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules. The Site Supervisor will act as the key interface between the workforce, subcontractors and project management team, ensuring that safety, quality and productivity objectives are consistently achieved.

The role briefly encompasses the following duties but is not limited to: -

• Supervising site operatives, subcontractors and daily construction activities.
• Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance.
• Delivering work packages in line with programme requirements and project schedules.
• Monitoring workforce productivity, attendance and site performance.
• Conducting toolbox talks, safety briefings and site inspections.
• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinating activities between trades, subcontractors and project teams.
• Supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:

1. Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience supervising construction activities on infrastructure, industrial or utilities projects.
2. Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or above in Construction, Engineering or a related discipline.
3. Certifications: SSSTS, CSCS Gold Supervisor Card and IOSH Working Safely (or equivalent).
4. Leadership: Proven experience managing subcontractors and direct labour teams.
5. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, quality requirements and safe systems of work.
6. Communication: Excellent organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple work activities simultaneously.
7. Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence.
8. Desirable: Experience within nuclear, water treatment, utilities, process plant or major infrastructure environments.
