The Site Surveyor is responsible for providing surveying, setting out, dimensional control and verification services for the design, construction, testing and commissioning of the Foul Treatment Plant (FTP) and Potable Water Plant (PWP) at Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station.

The role ensures that all construction activities are delivered accurately and in accordance with approved designs, specifications and project tolerances. The Site Surveyor will support engineering, construction and commissioning teams by providing precise survey data, setting out information and as-built records throughout the project lifecycle.

The role briefly encompasses the following duties but is not limited to:

  • Carrying out setting out activities for civil, structural, mechanical and utility installations.
  • Establishing and maintaining survey control points and site survey networks.
  • Conducting dimensional, topographical and as-built surveys throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Verifying construction works against approved drawings, specifications and project tolerances.
  • Supporting engineering, construction and commissioning teams with accurate survey data.
  • Producing survey reports, records and technical documentation.
  • Assisting with quality assurance activities, inspections and tolerance checks.
  • Supporting handover documentation, asset records and BIM requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:

  1. Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in engineering or construction surveying.
  2. Qualifications: Degree, HNC or HND in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
  3. Technical Skills: Competent in the use of Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment and survey software.
  4. Surveying Experience: Proven experience producing setting out, dimensional control and as-built surveys.
  5. Software Knowledge: Familiarity with CAD and survey data management systems.
  6. Construction Knowledge: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  7. Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence.
  8. Desirable: Experience within nuclear, utilities, water treatment, wastewater or major infrastructure projects.
