A vacancy has arisen for a Working Supervisor to join our team with Severn Trent Frameworks.

The Working Supervisor role exists to provide supervision of small teams of staff to carry out engineering projects to plan within the STW Framework and engineering team of Hargreaves Industrial Services. Ensuring that the work is delivered to a high quality, safely withing the constraints of the programme and cost plan.

The role briefly encompasses the following duties: -

  1. Responsible for day-to-day operational duties of the team
  2. Responsible for safe deployment of team – all elements of health, safety and quality to be maintained
  3. Ensure the work is completed to a high standard
  4. Communicate with Clients and HIS Framework and Project Manager on progress or any issues arising
  5. Assist in promoting a proactive safety culture on all projects to drive for zero harm culture
  6. Assist in delivering project on time
  7. Identify efficiencies and innovation where possible

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes: -

  1. Experience in supervising staff
  2. Mechanical or electrical formal qualifications through the apprenticeship route
  3. Previous experience in the waste and clean water sector would be advantageous
  4. FLT license preferably
  5. CDM Awareness Training preferably (training can be provided )
  6. Welding/rigging & slinging/ confined space trained preferably
  7. Set team to work safely including all safety paperwork, RAMS, POWRA etc.
  8. Ability to oversee project work to completion
  9. Strong communication skills at all levels
  10. Positive attitude to safety
  11. Strong team player
  12. Innovative

  14. Tolerate diverse personalities
  15. Ability to work well under pressure and to timescale
